Grameenphone Leads Voice App Experience in Bangladesh : OpenSignal's Global Network Experience Report |
OpenSignal is a globally renowned organization that works on mobile network standards worldwide. The organization is well-known for its independent data-driven analysis of customers' network experience, and it recently released its 'Global Network Experience Report' (GMNE). The report highlighted Grameenphone's exceptional performance in the 'Voice App Experience' category, where the operator secured the top spot in Bangladesh.
In terms of 4G/5G, Banglalink had the highest percentage improvement time at 7.5 percent. These findings suggest that the mobile sector in Bangladesh is undergoing significant changes.
Currently, Grameenphone is the only operator besides Teletalk to conduct a trial of 5G service. The company provides services with over 19 thousand 4G towers across the country, serving 7 crore 91 lakh customers. Grameenphone's 4G coverage reaches 99 percent of the country. Robi, with a customer base of 5 crore 44 lakh, has more than 16 thousand 4G sites, and its coverage extends to 98.3 percent of the country's population. Meanwhile, Banglalink has 3.9 million subscribers.
